New quick-service restaurant Cancún Sabor Mexicano is now open and serving passengers at Oakland International Airport’s Terminal 1. The new restaurant is based on the East Bay streetside location of the same name located in Berkeley.

In January of 2024, San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport (OAK) saw significantly higher levels of international passenger traffic with an increase of 42.1 percent compared to the same month last year. The airport saw 839,381 total passengers in January, an increase of approximately 2.4 percent from January 2023.
