Statement from OAK as of 9:00 AM, November 7, 2025
Oakland, Calif. – November 7, 2025: Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK) has been listed among the 40 high traffic airports across the country that are facing a reduction in flights by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a result of the government shutdown.
The airlines that serve OAK are responsible for modifying their schedules to accommodate the new order. We will continue working with our airline partners and the FAA to minimize impacts to airport operations and travelers.
Our recommendation for passengers with travel scheduled in the next few days is to verify their flight status with their airline. We recommend downloading the airline’s mobile application and enabling trip notifications.
We thank our federal partners for their continued work to ensure safe operations at OAK despite the challenges of the government shutdown.
