Oakland, Calif. – October 27, 2025: Alaska Airlines is expanding its footprint at Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK) with the launch of four new daily, year-round nonstop flights to San Diego International Airport (SAN). Service will begin on April 22, 2026. The new service will be operated on Embraer E175 aircraft, offering travelers a comfortable and efficient way to connect between two of California’s most vibrant coastal cities.
“We’re thrilled that Alaska Airlines continues to invest in Oakland and expand its service offerings,” said Port of Oakland Director of Aviation Craig Simon. “The new flights to San Diego will provide our travelers with more flexibility and convenience and will strengthen our role as a key gateway for intra-California travel.”
“We’re excited to grow in Oakland with the addition of four daily, year-round flights to San Diego – offering an additional way to connect our guests in the vibrant Bay Area with dynamic Southern California,” said Kirsten Amrine, Vice President of Revenue Management and Network Planning at Alaska Airlines. “From Oakland, our flyers can also take advantage of nonstop flights to Seattle and Portland, and enjoy nonstop service to Honolulu, Maui and Kauai.”
